Dr. Cecilia Alvarez-Correa is sinds september 2012 Minister van Transport van Colombia . Zij heeft Industrial Engineering gestudeerd aan de Universidad Javeriana  en heeft zich gespecialiseerd in Finances aan het  Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario. Ze heeft ruime ervaring in het bedrijfsleven, onder andere als Executive  Vice-President van Previsora S.A. en Vice-President van Bavaria S.A. Daarnaast is zij raadgevend Minister van de Colombiaanse President geweest en heeft zij gewerkt voor het Ontwikkelingsprogramma van de VN.

Mariano Fernández held various high-ranking positions in the foreign service of the Government of Chile. From 2009 to 2010, he was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile. From 2006 to 2009, he serves as Chile’s Ambassador to the United States. Prior to that, he was Ambassador to a number of European countries and the EU including Great Britain (2002–2006), Spain (2000–2002) and Italy (1992–1994) and in the Chilean Mission to the European Union (1990–1992). In addition to his experience in diplomacy, Fernández also held a variety of positions in civil society, including a member of the Board of Directors of Radio Cooperativa, Vice-Chairman of the Italian-Latin-American Institute (ILAI) (1992–1994) and President of the Institute for European-Latin American Relations (IRELA) (1992–1994). His latest assignment was as the Special Representative for Haiti and Head of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti, appointed by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on 16 May 2011.

Dr. Alvaro Moerzinger is Ambassador of Uruguay to The Netherlands. He obtained his Doctorate in Law and Sciences at the Universidad de la República. In 1992 he was appointed Director of the Administrative Secretariat of Mercosur. Between 1997 and 2003 he held various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then became Ambassador of Uruguay in Canada.

Dr. Alfredo Valladão is Professor at the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po); President of the Advisory Board of EU-Brasil; Senior Research Fellow of the European Union Institute for Security Studies; and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Centre d’Etudes Sociales, Economiques et Managériales (CESEM) of the Institut de Hautes Etudes du Management (HEM), Morocco. Dr. Valladão is also a columnist on international affairs for Radio France International, former Director of the Mercosur Chair of Sciences Po and former Coordinator of the Working Group on EU-Mercosur Negotiations and of the International Annual Conference of the Fort Copacabana on Defence and Security European-South American Dialogue and a former diplomatic and defence correspondent of the French daily Libération.

Simon Smits is Directeur-Generaal Buitenlandse Economische Betrekkingen bij het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken. Hij studeerde Engelse taal- en letterkunde en  Internationaal  Recht aan de VU in Amsterdam. Hij trad in 1983 in dienst bij het ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken. Simon Smits was onder meer  hoofd Bureau secretaris-generaal, hoofd Economische afdeling bij de ambassade in Zuid-Afrika, hoofd Natuur en Milieu bij de Permanente Vertegenwoordiging bij de EU en Senior Advisor Government Relations bij Shell International.

 Ruerd Ruben is development economist, director of the Policy and Operations Evaluation Department (IOB) of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and professor at the Centre for International Development Issues Nijmegen (CIDIN) of Radboud University. Fields of expertise include impact evaluation of development interventions, poverty reduction, farmer organisation, rural development, and the role of small and medium enterprises in (inter)national trade networks.

Arie Kraaijeveld is voorzitter van de Stichting Nederland Maritiem Land. Hij was meer dan 25 jaar actief op het snijvlak ondernemen en politiek, zowel nationaal als internationaal, de laatste zeven jaar als voorzitter en algemeen directeur van de Vereniging FME-CWM, de ondernemersorganisatie voor de technologisch-industriële sector.

Rein Willems  was President of Shell Nederland from 2003-2007. Since 1969, he has held a number of positions at Shell, with postings in Singapore, Australia, the UK, the Philippines and Brazil. In addition, he was a member of the Executive Committee and the Environmental Committee of the Employers Association VNO-NCW and the Innovation Platform. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Koninklijke Joh. Enschedé, member of the Supervisory Board of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Centraal Orgaan Opvang Asielzoekers (COA) and the Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group B.V. He was Chairman of the national Task Force Energy Transition, which was established to make the Dutch economy more sustainable. He is a member to the supervisory board of FMO, the Dutch development bank. From 2007 till 2011 he was member of the First Chamber of the Dutch parliament.

Wil Pansters is Professor of Latin American Studies at the University of Groningen and Associate Professor of Anthropology at Utrecht University. He is director of the Mexican Studies Centre in Groningen. In Mexico he has been a research fellow at El Colegio de México, the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana  and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Jeroen Roodenburg is Ambassador Private Sector and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as Director Sustainable Economic Development  at this same Ministry. Before he held various positions in the Dutch foreign service, such as Ambassador to Iraq.
